Winnica Kamil Barczentewicz is a rising star in the Polish wine scene, nestled in the Lublin region in eastern Poland. The winery was founded by Kamil Barczentewicz and consists of 12ha of vines. He is a trained oenologist with international experience from France and Austria. After years of studying and working abroad, Kamil returned to his family estate with a vision to create world-class wines that express the unique character of Polish terroir.
The vineyards are planted on limestone-rich soils, benefiting from the continental climate of the region, with warm summers and cold winters. This combination offers optimal conditions for growing cool-climate varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. However, he also cultivates a great amount of Bläufrankisch. The wines are marked by purity, precision and freshness — hallmarks of Kamil’s low-intervention philosophy in both vineyard and cellar.
In the cellar, vinification is gentle and thoughtful. Spontaneous fermentation, minimal sulfur use, and aging on the lees in stainless steel or neutral oak barrels allow the wines to develop complexity without losing their delicate balance. Kamil’s approach is rooted in respecting the fruit and letting the vineyard speak through the wine.
Sustainability is a cornerstone of the winery. No herbicides are used, and the vineyards are cultivated with great care for biodiversity and soil health. This mindful approach extends to the cellar, where energy use is minimized and each decision is guided by both intuition and precision.
