Yohann Moreno has been based in Durban-Corbières since 2013. He started out working for Maxime Magnon and it was during this stay he realised his dream of making his own wine on his native land.
He currently farms 8 hectares of vines which are all certified organic or biodynamic, ensuring that the soil can stay healthy and the biodiversity can thrive. The vines are mainly located on soil consisting of clay-limestone but sometimes also mixed with shale. Corbiere is generally a wind prone and dry landscape located between Carcassone and Narbonne. It is Languedoc's biggest wine appellation and close to both the Pyrenees and Mediterranean Sea.
He cultivates several native grape varieties from Roussillon region such as Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Cinsault et Gris, Mourvèdre…
His wines shows great craftsmanship and he succeeds in getting the minerality and freshness out of his terroir. We loved the wines from the first sip and look forward to follow his project.
