La Tranquilla comes from a selected piece of vineyard of small production. As soon as the grapes are taken in the cellar they are selected manually. They then pass through a light pressing, fermentation under controlled temperature and long maceration when wine is pumped over 3 times a day. Stabilization comes naturally during ageing in a large wood barrel. The products own nature and the care in the cellar make it a particularly intense wine, smooth and suasive.

La Tranquilla has its name from the soil were its grapes grow. The particular composition of limestone of its original soil which does not demand such a hard work has previously named that parcel as “La Tranquilla”, as in “Serene”… not too much work is required.

In 1981, Luigi Garberoglio meets Bruna and is attracted by the fascinating work of winemaking- and by Bruna, of course! The consolidation of the two will come 3 years after with the “inevitable” marriage… In 1988, Ferro Carlo leaves to his daughter his precious wealth of experience and wisdom, and with his support and with will to grow, she continues the fascinating and compelling work that is winemaking. Luigi Garberoglio and Bruna Ferro has build the farm from the begenning and today share the work with their sons Luca and Matteo, the family group is complete.

No chemicals that could harm nature are used on the farm’s lands since 1984; besides, with the instruction of Dr. Leonello Anello, they follow the modern biodynamic method working in the vineyard, good practices that extend to the cellar as well. Additionally, the vineyard work is certified organic by “Suolo e Salute”.

Carussin waits for your visit to the farm and to the cellar: the tour begins at the “core cellar” where Bruna’s grandparents used to work and it follows through the wine ageing room...you could then peek into the winemaking cellar, where there are the pressing and the bottling facilities.
